Alan began documenting his business travels while researching settings for his novels, discovering that the intersection of commerce and spirituality offered rich material both for his fiction and for helping others find meaning in business travel. After a transformative experience in a Tibetan market followed by a monastery stay during a research trip for his breakthrough novel, he began intentionally seeking out similar juxtapositions worldwide, eventually building a following of business travelers seeking deeper connections during their work trips.
