Angela's dual passion for marine life and historical architecture began during childhood summers split between her grandmother's coastal home near Genoa and school years in Milan's rich historical landscape. After moving to the US for college and settling into veterinary work, she started her blog as a way to document her quest to reconnect with her Italian heritage through castle explorations while simultaneously highlighting marine conservation efforts. What began as personal documentation evolved into a mission to showcase how historical preservation and environmental conservation share similar values and challenges across cultures.
