Austin discovered his passion for cultural exploration during his early career as a software developer when a work trip to Istanbul introduced him to the magic of grand bazaars and local football culture. After raising three children in Sheffield, he and his wife relocated to Winnipeg for a late-career opportunity, which sparked a new chapter of travel blogging to document his discoveries and maintain connections to his British roots while exploring North America and beyond.
