Cole Smith

Born to an Indian father and British mother in Delhi, Cole developed dual passions for engineering and travel while accompanying his civil engineer father on railway projects across India. After earning his PhD in renewable energy systems at Imperial College London, he began documenting sustainable luxury experiences and vintage train journeys as a way to combine his technical expertise with his love of cultural exploration. What started as detailed engineering assessments of historical transportation evolved into a popular travel blog when his analytical yet poetic observations of luxury train journeys gained a following among environmentally-conscious professionals.
