Connor's fascination with rivers began during childhood canoe trips with his Mi'kmaq grandfather, who taught him to 'read' water systems as living entities. After completing his Master's in Hydrology and Environmental Diplomacy, he joined the Foreign Service to combine his scientific expertise with international relations. His blog started as field notes from diplomatic postings but evolved into a platform connecting travelers with scientific understanding of the places they visit, particularly focusing on water systems that shape cultures and landscapes.
