Erik Murphy

Erik's passion for cultural exploration began during his childhood split between Sydney's beaches and visits to his maternal grandmother's Indigenous community in Northern Australia. After completing his Master's in International Relations and a stint with UNESCO's cultural heritage division, he joined the Foreign Service where he discovered he could combine his diplomatic skills with his love for adventure travel through documentation. His blog gained prominence after his series on threatened rainforest archaeological sites caught the attention of National Geographic, launching his parallel career as a respected travel documentarian focused on preservation of natural and cultural heritage.
