Frank Garcia

Frank discovered mountaineering during a college exchange program in Chile, where the dramatic Andean landscapes awakened his passion for both climbing and landscape documentation. His dual interests in precision (from his air traffic control training) and artistic expression (through his lifelong calligraphy practice) merged into a unique travel blog that maps both the physical and cultural contours of mountain regions worldwide. After accepting a position at Belfast International Airport, he now uses his irregular work schedule to embark on extended backpacking trips, documenting disappearing glaciers and traditional valley communities while creating a visual archive of indigenous writing systems.
