Gary Graham

Gary's fascination with traditional medicine began after a severe illness during a college trip to Oaxaca, where local healers nursed him back to health using treatments his Western doctors had dismissed. This experience led him to document healing traditions worldwide while simultaneously developing an appreciation for public art as community medicine. After meeting his Māori wife during a mural festival in Auckland, he relocated to Wellington where he balances his trade show coordination career with extended backpacking journeys documenting the intersection of art and healing practices.
