Giovanni's passion for astronomy began during childhood camping trips with his Italian father and Irish-American mother, where dark skies sparked his fascination with the cosmos. After completing his PhD in Astronomy focusing on ancient astronomical practices across cultures, he moved to Australia to work at the Mount Stromlo Observatory, where he started documenting his research trips to remote observatories. What began as scientific documentation evolved into a popular blog connecting astronomy, cultural practices, and travel as he discovered the intersection between ancient celestial worship sites and modern astronomical research.
