Haley Thompson

Born to a French father and Moroccan mother in Paris, Haley developed her fascination with cultural adaptation while spending summers in her mother's Atlas Mountain village. After completing her PhD in environmental anthropology, she accepted a position at the University of British Columbia, where she now conducts research on how mountain communities worldwide are adapting to climate change. Her travel blog began as field notes for her research but evolved into a platform bridging academic insights with accessible travel content when she realized the power of visual storytelling to communicate complex environmental and cultural issues.
