Jacob Moore

Jacob Moore

Jacob's journey into cultural travel began during his doctoral research on the economic impact of traditional arts, when he found himself more captivated by the street performers he encountered than the data he collected. After completing his PhD, he balanced his economics career with increasingly frequent travels documenting performing arts traditions, eventually gaining recognition for his unique perspective at the intersection of culture and economics. Now traveling with his wife (a museum curator) and teenage daughter, Jacob seeks to create a living archive of performance traditions while analyzing how cultural expression shapes and is shaped by economic realities.
