Larry developed his fascination with transportation and fermentation while growing up in Edinburgh, where his father worked on the Forth ferries and his mother made traditional Scottish preserves. After earning his degree in Cultural Geography and working as a property appraiser, he began documenting his journeys through valleys and fjords, developing a unique niche exploring how geography, transportation, and food preservation techniques interconnect across different cultures.
