Growing up in a Mexican-American family in Texas, Lillian developed dual passions for her cultural heritage and American sports, especially attending Dallas Cowboys games with her father. After studying marketing and environmental science in college, she combined these interests during a transformative solo backpacking trip through Central America, where she documented both traditional crafts and the environmental threats they faced.
