Luis discovered his passion for botanical exploration during a university research trip to Costa Rica, where his physics background gave him a unique perspective on plant structures and coral reef formations. After completing his PhD in biophysics with a focus on coral reef thermodynamics, he began documenting his scientific field expeditions, eventually growing a following that appreciated his ability to translate complex ecological concepts into engaging travel content.
