Pierre's journey into travel blogging began when his technical writing job for a marine technology company sent him to document underwater equipment installations around the world. These experiences sparked a passion for diving that complemented his lifelong love of jazz inherited from his grandfather, a session musician from New Orleans. Feeling restricted by traditional travel narratives that rarely featured Black solo travelers interested in both technology and arts, Pierre created his blog to document the intersection of innovation, music, and underwater exploration through his unique lens.
