After culinary school and a stint at a historic Lexington restaurant near bourbon country, he was recruited by a prestigious Tokyo hotel seeking to blend Western and Japanese pastry traditions. Now he travels for culinary workshops and competitions while using every opportunity to explore military history sites and local distilleries, documenting how food, drink, and history intertwine across cultures.
