Raj's journey into travel blogging began after a burnout-induced sabbatical from his counseling practice led him to rediscover his passion for photography while hiking in New Zealand. The son of Indian immigrants to Australia, he moved to Japan five years ago after his wife accepted a university teaching position, bringing their teenage daughter along. What started as documentation of architectural styles to share with his patients as mindfulness exercises evolved into a respected blog exploring the intersection of art, place, and psychological wellbeing.
