Riley's passion for travel bloomed from two seemingly contradictory childhood influences: summers spent with her Cherokee grandmother learning traditional stories tied to seasonal changes, and her father's archaeology textbooks filled with ancient Mediterranean civilizations. After her illustration career took off, she began documenting family trips through sketches and stories, eventually creating a unique travel blog that merges her indigenous heritage's reverence for place with her trained artist's eye and her growing family's adventures.
