Sakura Garcia

Sakura grew up helping on her Japanese grandfather's small vegetable farm in Arizona while being immersed in her Mexican grandmother's culinary traditions, sparking her interest in the connection between agriculture and cultural heritage. After studying sustainable agriculture in college, she met her Irish husband while volunteering on farms across Europe, eventually settling in Cork to establish their own regenerative farm while raising their three children. Her blog began as a way to document traditional farming and food preservation methods around the world but evolved to focus on cultural immersion through speakeasies and hot springs after she discovered these venues were often where the most authentic local connections and traditions could be found.
