Sarah's journey began when her dual passions for meteorology and motorsports unexpectedly converged during her PhD research on how coastal cliff formations affect local weather patterns. While studying dramatic weather systems in her native New Zealand, she found herself explaining complex phenomena to curious tourists, discovering her gift for making science accessible. Now based in Louisville working as a meteorologist, she travels monthly to study unique weather patterns around the world, often timing her trips to coincide with major racing events where she analyzes how weather impacts performance.
