Victoria Washington

Victoria grew up in Cardiff with a Welsh father and Jamaican mother who filled her childhood with both Celtic and Caribbean folktales. After moving to the US for graduate school in education, she married an American history teacher, and they now travel during school breaks with their two children (ages 7 and 9). What began as a classroom blog documenting educational travel experiences for her students evolved into a popular platform bridging the seemingly contradictory worlds of budget backpacking and luxury experiences through the lens of cultural education.
