After a decade directing nature documentaries for television networks, Yuki became disillusioned with the industry's superficial approach to environmental storytelling and struck out on her own to document grassroots conservation efforts and innovative sustainable living solutions. Her childhood split between her Japanese mother's traditional cooking and her American father's love of wilderness camping instilled both a reverence for cultural traditions and a passion for environmental stewardship that now drives her unique approach to travel content creation.
