After 35 years teaching swimming and water safety in Manchester's public schools, Aubrey took early retirement at 55 and relocated to Seattle to be near the Pacific coast. What began as weekend explorations of hot springs in the Cascade Mountains evolved into increasingly ambitious solo backpacking trips across the globe. Now, six years into his 'retirement career' as a travel content creator, he's built a loyal following of mature adventurers and young backpackers who appreciate his no-nonsense advice and infectious enthusiasm for water-based adventures.
