Austin Butler

Austin Butler

Growing up as a half-Japanese, half-Canadian child in Tokyo, Austin developed a fascination with how stories and social spaces differ across cultures. After moving to Canada for university and becoming a physical education teacher, he began documenting his solo travels to bookstores and bars around the world as a way to explore how communities gather and share stories. What started as a personal project to reconnect with his dual heritage evolved into a unique travel blog that bridges literary culture and social drinking traditions across continents.
