Leah Dixon

After completing her PhD in climate science, Leah left New Zealand to work on adaptation projects in vulnerable regions, eventually settling in Mumbai where she met her partner, an Indian environmental lawyer. Her travels began as research expeditions but transformed into a platform for connecting indigenous knowledge systems with modern sustainability practices after a profound experience with Māori elders helped her reconnect with her own heritage. Now she uses her unique position between scientific expertise and traditional wisdom to document how communities around the world are preserving cultural practices while adapting to environmental challenges.
