Michael Cook

After burning out at a corporate architecture firm in California, Michael sold most of his possessions and moved to Germany to pursue a master's degree in sustainable design. During a paragliding trip in the Alps, he discovered his passion for documenting remote architectural structures from above, leading him to combine his professional expertise with adventure sports. Now he travels the world seeking the intersection of extreme landscapes and human ingenuity, documenting how architecture adapts to the most challenging environments.
